As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping our business segment's strategic direction and ensuring alignment with our technology strategies. You will bring creative ideas on emerging technologies and best practices, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and lead the technical delivery of all segment initiatives.
- Participate in the business segment's strategic planning, focusing on creating a functional portfolio aligned with business and technology strategies.
- Understand the segment's business processes, direction, and technologies, and bring creative ideas on emerging technologies and best-in-class practices to segment leadership.
- Coordinate and partner with the business to collaborate with IT, ensuring that business projects follow the IT governance process.
- Ensure delivery of large segment initiatives by collaborating with the Project Management Office to drive initiatives through the project lifecycle.
- Manage small projects through the project lifecycle, including creating and maintaining schedules, scopes, resources, and budgets, securing necessary resources for delivery, and leading successful implementation.
- Create and maintain relationships with internal technology teams and external technology vendors.
- Lead and guide technical delivery of IT peers, partners, and vendors on all segment initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Specific business area knowledge and relevant technology experience.
- Experience with big data, analytics, and data science from a platform engineering and support perspective, including Tableau, MicroStrategy, AWS cloud - especially RedShift, Databricks, and Alteryx.
- 8 years of Information Technology or relevant industry experience.
- 4 years of Information Technology experience managing information-related technologies, resources, and projects, including teams with direct reports.
- Experience communicating with senior leadership, direct reports, business segment stakeholders, and vendors to ensure collaboration, efficiency, and delivery.
- Experience leading technical teams, including peers, vendors, and cross-functional members.
- Experience in the following areas/disciplines: Strategic planning and roadmap development, project management, and portfolio management.
Educational Requirements:
- This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
